Topic: AI in Captives: The Hype, Risks, Practical Value, and Breakthrough Potential

A deep dive on how artificial intelligence is reshaping captive possibilities

While the buzz around artificial intelligence in insurance is loud, the advisable applications for captives require a far more nuanced conversation. In this session, we cut through the noise to unpack how AI, particularly large language models (LLMs) and embedded automation, is already driving captive innovation and operational efficiency. Drawing from frontline insights, we’ll examine the tradeoffs across the captive lifecycle, how regulators are responding, and the evolving roles of underwriters, lawyers, actuaries, and brokers in an AI-augmented environment.

Speaker: Gabriel Weiss is the CEO & Co-Founder of Luzern Risk. Before launching Luzern Risk in 2023, Gabriel joined Point72's private investments team as an Entrepreneur in Residence focused on Insurance opportunities.
