Peter Rapciewicz, Executive Vice President – Alternative Practice Leader, Lockton Companies and John Ferrara of Ernst & Young
Peter Rapciewicz leads Lockton’s Alternative Risk Practice and is based in New York City. His team provides strategic client consultation and support for Lockton’s client service terms. His responsibilities include identifying and qualifying opportunities, distribution of current product offerings (e.g., structured, integrated, parametric), new product innovation, global strategy, and alternative risk market relationship management. Prior to joining Lockton, Peter spent 13 years on the commercial insurance side at AIG. While at AIG, he was responsible for overseeing the Alternative Risk Division within its commercial casualty division. He has delivered educational sessions at various industry events such as CICA 2010 and 2011, VCIA 2010, Captive Live 2011, Hawaii Captive Insurance Conference 2011, Bermuda Captive Conference 2012, IMAC 2013 Cayman Captive Forum, and 2018 Western Region Captive Insurance Conference (WRCIC).
John Ferrara is a Senior Manager in the Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services practice of Ernst & Young LLP’s Financial Services Office. He is based in the firm’s New York office. John has over 30 years experience in the industry. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, John was Executive Vice President and Chief Actuary at JLT Re’s New York operation, supporting the North American general agency and reinsurance operation. John has been Chief Actuary and North American Board Member for a large insurance conglomerate. John has also worked for insurance wholesalers and reinsurance brokers for over 7 years. He has worked for major accounting firms for over 11 years and was the actuary for the Bermudian operation of one of the major firms.
